Who I Am

02/22/2010

I am a questioner, an infinitely curious being who seeks true understanding. I have paid the price of having my understanding increased, yet I only wish to continue questioning, seeking, finding and understanding.

I play games sometimes. The reasons should be obvious by now. It is no longer necessary for me to play the games that I’ve played here, though. Once I believed it was all a game. I had given up the deeper search, but never could I escape my yearning for the deeper, darker things.

So here I am, with open eyes but hazy vision. I grow tired of speaking, so I ask all those who have been involved with my journey: Aspire, Nukey, Sleep and, of course, Welldone…

Speak to me.

It’s good to see you writing on this again… Almost one year has passed since your last entry. My, my… how time flies. I have so many questions for you… Tell me, what shall we talk about, my friend?

  2. Ms. Marionette Says:

    One hell of a year.

Why don’t we start with your questions? Ask one, ask them all at once, whatever suits you.

  3. Aspire Says:

    I’ll begin with a few selections…

    - What is the impetus behind your most recent moniker?

    - What have you learned during your period of reflection?

    - Are you willing to share your knowledge?

    - What do you think of Weldon’s most recent tantrum?

  4. I had a dream in which I was, quite literally, a marionette, animate of course. I was hoping to serve a sorceress, but she cast me away. The whole thing got me thinking about recent experiences and a few of my own personal quirks. My strings are always being pulled, if not from without then from within.

It’s always difficult for me to put the things I’ve learned into words, but I’m always willing to share. Maybe that’s because they are things that simply cannot be properly expressed through words, maybe it’s because I simply have not learned enough yet. I can tell you that, despite his showboating, our dear Comte has been right about quite a few things.

Of course, anyone with a mind that functions beyond the mere neurochemical impulses of the brain could grasp those concepts. I’ve tested them and found that they are more than mere philosophy. He’s obviously somewhat misguided, but that’s probably intentional on his part. A man who knows everything and cannot die will seek after ignorance and death.

He acts the way he does because of that. He is drawn to speak out to the ignorant, transient fools that fill this world. Maybe he’s lonely, he’s obviously bitter, and perhaps he honestly wants to see one or two rise above the rest as he claims to have done.

It’s no secret that I wish to be such. Not for him, but for myself. I reacted so strongly to him in the beginning because I share so much of his bitter frustration. Only mine isn’t just toward the “masses”, it’s also toward myself and my own experiences, lack of progress, and so on.

Now that I think about it, perhaps his frustration is more toward himself. To be the same thing day in and day out, no change, no new experience, no thrill, no excitement, nothing left to be done…

You know, I should really start turning these wordy replies into entries. I’d probably have the motivation to make them more succinct, then… Probably.

Oh, do you know why his journal is protected now? I’m not too sure if by “most recent tantrum” you mean merely his recent activity or something more specific I may have missed.

What is this odd web of connections you have here on the internet?

Are your games set in real life or on the internet?
